Orbit Chain Puts Up $8 Million Bounty for Information on Exploit
In response to the recent significant cybersecurity breach, Orbit Chain has announced plans to intensify efforts to identify the attackers and recover stolen digital assets. The cryptocurrency platform is offering a substantial $8 million reward for any information leading to the identification of the hackers or the recovery of its lost assets.
Orbit Chain experienced a cyber attack on December 31, resulting in the unauthorized movement of assets such as DAI, ETH, and WBTC from its Ethereum L1 vault. In response, the platform is actively working to track down the hackers and retrieve the lost assets. It has called on major cryptocurrency exchanges to freeze the stolen assets, and as a result, the assets remain unmoved.
The platform has ruled out any plans to negotiate with the hackers and has set a final deadline for negotiations, which has now expired. In an effort to seek assistance globally, Orbit Chain is offering an $8 million bounty to the public for information related to the attack. The platform urges ecosystem participants to share intelligence related to the incident.
Orbit Chain has initiated a collaborative effort with key justice organizations, including the Korean National Police Agency and the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA). The platform is also in discussions with domestic and foreign law enforcement agencies to further its investigation and crackdown on the attackers.
